    I need to do a write up of one page length on linux shells and was wondering if any of you know any good web sites for finding information on linux shells.??

    what do you want to know exactly?

    the history of shells and the like is it?

    id start here -> www.google.com, then id look here
    http://www.gnu.org/manual/bash-2.02/html_chapter/bashref_toc.html

    then id go back to here www.google.com and then id read some more, copy and paste and bobs your linux loving uncle you have done ur assignment.

    dont ask here again for help with homework or college assignments.

    yes i have tried google................got bored of reading examples of scripts without any information on them. History would be helpful but all i really need is is some general information about various scripts etc. etc.
