    hey

just wondering if people out there had any preference for particular strings for playing standard pop/rock songs and which ones can take a hella battering and which ones break super easy ;p

I use D'Addario for my 12 string. They seem to be the best for me, but I haven't tried all of them out.
If you want to batter your strings just go for a higher guage - Heavy Guage , the high sounding E string can be 0.13 or 0.14 maybe, I'm not sure as I use 0.10.

Just ask for heavy guage. You will find it more difficult to bend the strings but it's good for your muscles.
