i read this in The News Of The World. if it is an accurate report it is a bit too much. he wont sign anything until the boss at Highbury agrees to it. are players being payed too much now. with the fiasco over the Football League rights the bubble is surely at breaking point and is ready to burst. i know the players make the clubs a lot of money but the demands from players now are a too much

I'm pretty sure Arsenal will pay it though. I'm not sure how much he cost Arsenal (like £3.5m?) but his workrate and influence on a game alone is worth that.

    I'd say its an exaggeration.

His agent Marc Roger seems to be the one stirring up trouble, he's the same one who helped Anelka break contract.

Hmm this reminds me of last summer (and they really got it right then didn't they ) . Obviously Beckhams foot injury has become boring for the tabloids.

    Gandalf.

If this is true then they should pay him the money. He is the most vital player in the Arsenal squad and they cannot afford to let him go for free. Because they will end up paying upwards of £20m to replace him.

No player is worth that sort of money. If they can get over £30m for him, they should cash in.

See the thing is... if he's definately going, the other clubs will probably wait til his contract is up and then they'll get him for nothing on the Bosman rule. Arsenal wouldn't like that much now would they?

I think Arsenal should pay him what he wants.

He would get it if he went to real/barca etc, so if Arsenal want him to stay, then they should make sure he doesnt suffer financially from having faith in the gooners.

He may not get it from Real, they are kinda broke at the moment. They even had to sell their training ground. Zidane and Figo were a little bit too expensive in the end.

probably Viera will get his £160.000 a week deal and if not arsenal will just sell him like a jagged up classic Merc !! for a good price to Spannish Collector
