Sports news this morning says that Veron and Beckham are fit for tonight.

Personally I wouldnt play Veron as he is too much of a passenger and will not get stuck in. For all his silky skills he just has not done enough and also lost the game to Boro at Old Trafford. The midfield should be Giggs, Beckham, Butt and P.Neville.

Hopefully Veron has a marvelous World Cup, Lose in the final to Ireland so United can sell him for £35m. Make a profit and get rid of him. Good deal.

You know what you've done there. You've just said Phil Neville is a better player than Veron

    Whoops!

GWAN then I will post for yez, I think Veron is a class player who like every other player that has come to the premiership takes time to settle, next season he will be a much better player, watch him in the world cup, he will rule Argentina

No I have said that Phil Neville can defend and Veron can not.

Depor are going to come out flying tonight looking for an early goal. Neville would defend the threat better that Veron.

u haven't actually watched a whole lot of utd games then have u. The one thing that has really impressed me about Veron is his tackling and tracking. He DOES get stuck in, and doesn't shurk in the tackle. His only problem is he is a little too casual on the ball. He expects to get more time than he is allowed. Next season we will see a completely new "all-round" Veron.

And he definately should play tonight. The game is made for him. It is his midfield tonight. He will be the one running the midfield in keanes absense, just like he did for Argentine against Cameroon.

If Utd are gonna win the League, Veron is the one that will do it for them. Let me re-phrase that. If Utd are gonna win the League, It will be up to Veron to do it for them.

    Well Veron and Butt.

Yes most definitely a lot of responsibility will be placed on his shoulders. While Keane is out he will play every game. Do you think United will win the league?

Everyone knows that they are a different team with Keane playing but it is up to the others now to prove that they can win trophies without him. I hope they can.

'Cometh the time, cometh the man!'

Veron has a lot to prove.
He hasnt settled as well or as quickly as many people expected.
But the stage is set, and i think in the next few matches the true Veron will be shown, for better or for worse.

Funny enough, I think United have probably done enough to go through, 's long as they dont concede an early goal.
But they have to win every premiership match between now aqnd the end of the season, and then there the small matter of Leverkusen, and Barca, to deal with if there goona win the Europeans Champions and Runners Up and Some Third Placed Teams Cup.

The last few games are made for Veron. If he is on song, then the league is Utds. I have no doubt about that. He just needs to realise that he dosen't have that much time to settle on the ball, thats all.

He is as good a footballer as Keane but he is NOT a defensive midfielder as Keano is. He will not track back and put a guy into next week with a tackle, you will see 30 yard passes, 30 yard free kicks, chips and dinks. The problem we have now is that we cannot play him, and Scholes, Butt is the only player to cover Keane as he is a defensive midfielder.

BTW we will not win the league, BUT I maybe wrong. I cannot see Arsenal losing 6 points, pool may have a problem with Sunderland without Owen & Heskey this weekend though

    Keeks,
He has been playing since August and if he doesnt realise that now then I dont hold out much hope for him for the last few games. The mistake against Boro was schoolboy standard.

Of course I do hope he proves me wrong in every game left. How sweet it would be to win both trophies after the scousers had the league sewn up in November and the CL last week.:p

I'd love to say that without Keane and Scholes Utd will be beaten
tonight but sadly I'd be deludeing myself...:(

The thing ppl forget is that Veron has just stepped into a team where he is fourth/fifth choice midfielder. Keane, Giggs and Beackam are always gonna be b4 him. When you cost 28.1m, and have always being First choice, and you captain your Country, who are 7th in the world, it can be a hard pill to swallow. And thats b4 relising that Ferguson IS the boss.

But having said that...Veron was brilliant tonight. Made all 3 goals. Defended well. Tracked back well. Played the whole game behind Nicky Butt. I'm sure i've said all this b4 somewhere.

He did make one mistake...a lazy pass in defence but got away with it...he's not perfect

<sarcasm>Good call lads.... yeah Veron is way worse than any player in Uniteds squad or any squad in the premiership for that matter</sarcasm>

Veron played excellently against Depor and well deserved his Man of the Match award. I've always kept faith in him and I know he will show us his value next season when he is settled in.

I'd bet all the Arsenal supporters were saying the same about Pires last season and look at him now. He's challenging for Player of the Year.
