why was gatland sacked?

    after watching the patetic irish performance on saturday it begs the question why warren gatland was sacked. it was surly more then just the scottish permformance. once again the scrum and line out were a joke against france

    Basically Eddie O'Sullivan was brought in as Gatlands No.2 but was to be his eventual successor. O'Sullivan was in demand outside Ireland so the IRFU, fearing that they might lose him altogether, took the easy route in sacking the "outsider" and appointed O'Sullivan.

    O'Sullivan was always the brains behind Gatland anyway..

    Give the man time, Rome was not built in a day - we have over a year to get our site in order for the worldcup...

    Nothing else matters really

    Agreed.

    O'Sullivan is an excellent coach and once he and his staff have another year with the squad it will definitely start to show.

    o'sullivan is a backs coach, the problem is in the forwards. its a fact that forwards wins games, backs decide by how much. our scrum and linout were appalling.
