Last films I've seen are Blade 2 and Unbreakable.
    Both very good.
But one is really fast-moving, while the other is extremely slow.

Went to see the COunt of Monte Cristo on Sunday night (perhaps my favourite book when I was 7 or 8)

Very good, not enough swashbuckling and taunting though.

Taped La Leggenda del pianista sull'oceano on Sunday night (really like the movie, still an awful title) - GF will be persuaded to watch it tonight.

Yeah, 200+ posts in a month? See anything wrong with that? Not normal. Calm down a little, missus, or go to the boards chatroom :P

Seen Blade 2 (yay!), Royal Tenenbaums (double yay!) lately (in cinema). On DVD, Akira (wopee), Uzumaki (Japanese), The Ninth Gate (geez that sucked, I was expecting more), and watching Thir1een Ghosts (DVD) later, which will probably suck, but it'll be nice and gorey :)

Is that the Tim Roth one, from the guy that directed Il Postino ? Also known as The Legend of 1900 ?

I saw Blade 2, Bully, We Were Soldiers and The Royal Tenebaums last week.

Of those, I really liked We were soldiers and Royal Tenebaums. Blade 2 was chewing gum for the eyes and Bully tried its best to *shock* the audience but it just came across as the directors obsession with fully naked teenage girls.

Aye, that's the one (not directed by the same chap who did Il Postino though, done by the same chap who did Cinema Paradiso).

Blade2, might wait till it's on Sky. Thought the first one was so-so, so if you did like it, ignore me.

Poor week for movies on telly ahead. Rocky's on tonight, Sunset Boulevard & Airport on Saturday

Ah I see now. I knew it was some Italian director that did a famous enough movie.

I liked it, especially the bloodbath scene at the start. It had a fairly poor ending though.

Oh yeah I love spam

Shes technically allowed to post as much as she likes but that doesn't mean we all have to like it. Sure, you have a high post count, but you actually post interesting/useful things *sometimes* (instead of constant BS).

BTW You're getting off topic here...

Sceptre, if you didn't like Blade definitely don't go see Blade 2. It's basically the same with more fightin scenes. If you like quirky films go see the Royal Tenenbaums instead. Very enjoyable in an off-beat kind of way. Personally, I'm waiting for the Time Machine now, and prolly Resident Evil. Looks awful, but it'll be fun (I loved the games) :)

    Last film I watched was......

Cheech & Chong - Still Smoking on DVD last night :)

    Gandalf.

    Blade 2 nuff said

I saw Resident Evil the film (not eh released yet...hmmm) anyway its watchable i suppose... not great but at least Milia Jovivich is in it (5th Element). so it has that as a redeeming feature i suppose!

Time machine recieved terrible reviews, and for good reason :)
its a definite watch at home movie.

    Thanks bomb, btw ;)

it shouldnt matter to anyone how many posts I put up, I dont see how its bs when I am putting an appropiate topic in the appropiate forums. If it bothers you then bypass it altogether :)
please stick to the topic at hand, thanks :)

    thanks for playing along....next ;)

Hmm, I thought the Time Machine was quite good. I saw it in LA when I was over there a few weeks ago. Sure there are problems with the story that didn't make sense like why did the professor thought he can never save her fiancee after 1 failed attempt instead of trying again and again before reaching that conclusion. Maybe it's not like that in the H.G.Wells book which I've never read. The film was still very well made and very enjoyable. The story I thought was very engrossing, the special effects like the time lapse effects used to show the earth aging around the time machine bubble was fantastic and it's not a cliche riddled time traveling movie. Maybe people would've liked it more if it's paced more like your modern day sci-fi/action movie but then they could always go watch something like Blade2.

Last film I saw, just to be on topic, was Gosford Park.

Latest movie i saw was Blow. Along with pulp fiction (again) and The spy who shagged me.

Its an alright movie if its not a little slow paced. And now i dont like fast action packed movies with Arnie ect. ect.

Blade 2....more like DOA 2 for the playstation 2 if you have seen the fight sequences in it. Nothing groundbreaking, but the way that the bad guys ate vampires was kinda refreshingly gross.

its on video fink. you should organise some kind of a charity drive for a new video in your pad. :)

i watched Boy in the Plastic Bubble this morning, haha, John Travolta in a bubble. him running on the beach flying a kite in his space suit because he cant let air touch him, its supposed to be a serious and touching movie, but it just makes me laugh for some reason.
