Does anyone know where I can get an antique saber restored?
It's quite old and I would only want someone good working on it.

I thought I should post it here because it's an antique and... well, people collect antiqes don't they?
    :)

you can probally restore most of it yourself.

    What exactly needs replacing?
Do some research in your local libary to find a picture of what it should look like restored to give yourself an idea of what work needs to be done.If you know the history of the piece this should be a lot easier, also look for makers casts usually at the top of the blade that should give a fair indication of what era to look at.

There's a wooden part in the handel that looks pretty cool, or at least it looks like it once did. I couldn't do that part on my own anyway. That bit needs replacing. It needs to have rust taken off and to be sharpened. I know nothing about antique restoration and actually restoring it myself doesn't interest me so I don't want to do it myself to be quiet honest.
