hi! i'm from florida. my mom and i were supposedly leaving for Madrid in three weeks, however, the person we were staying with is moving back to France today, leaving us high and dry..sort of.
our options are to hold the tickets for a later date, or try out an english speaking country..and one that isn't too expensive, because we didn't save enough money, we were planning on staying with our friend.

does anyone here know if England, Ireland, or Scotland is more inexpensive than the other (as far as hotels, etc. goes)? or does anyone have a recommendation of where to travel?

I want to make this trip happen so badly, but we're sort of rushed and don't know much about Europe.

    thanks
    twi

Well, for the flights, check this link, it contains many links to pages of popular airlines

It all depends on what part of which country you're planning on visiting, such as London is a urban region, this means that priaces would be highly inflated, and accomication could be hard to get, dublin is a urban part of Ireland too, but things would not be as high inflated as London, becuase we don't have as much attractions to them in some ways, Scotland is quite a nice place, the south of scotland would be cheap becuase its in a rural area, hence the north would be a much better place to go due to it being more to england...

Thats all the info I can give now.. maybe some people off the forum might post up some links about Ireland/England/Scotland.. I'll see if I can find any too.

cool, thanks for the info. you know, at almost the exact same time I read this, a friend of mine in England said the same thing as you.
I'll look into Dublin and the surrounding area. Maybe a bed and breakfast or something like that.

Our plane tickets are already purchased, we'll just have to change them to another country.

    thanks!
