Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yea I say stick with dance, most electronic music has a lot of vocals in it..

Electronic music covers any kind of music that's made with synths, samplers, computers, drum machines, software etc.

This includes house, techno, trance, drum and bass, hip hop, electro, the sound of a hard drive crashing, etc.

When somebody says "dance music" to me I usually think that person is talking about either trance, house or techno and probably listens to FM104 a lot.

And why not some Industrial/EMB/Darkwave while yer at it?
Maybe some of that new-fangled Technoise while we're at it.

    I'd say Electronic.
I'm with blameh on this one.

I'd have thought "dance" basically refers to club type music but "electronica" isn't really associated with the whole club scene

You're the first person to mention "electronica", what kind of music is that then?

In that case would a "Dance/Electronica" title be more suitable?

Electronic for definite. Dance is way too restricted.

IMO Electronic is a broader term, encompassing popular dance, house, techno, chilled electronic, drum'n'bass, etc etc.

Will 'Dance/Electronic' fit in the drop-down?
