does anyone know of any sites to get cheap hols>?

myself and the girlfriend are currently out of work, but when we hopefully get work we would like to reward ourselfs with a holiday late in the summer. we were thinking of salou in spain.

I live in london by the way so the site would have to be uk based.
    cheers:cheeky:

Well, I've only got this uk based site,
    www.bmibaby.com
Don't think it does cheap hols though.. but your best bet would be to call into a travel agents and look at the short canceled flights, you cna usually pick up some good holidays for a few hundred euros, depending on how short the holiday is canceled

I used TV Travelshop this year.
They have some very good deals, but you have to fly from UK airports. Im off to the algarve ferom Belfast airport this year.
Ive seen all inclusive 2 week hols from £400 st , and S C acom holidays from £150-250 for 2 weeks, free kids available etc. all the best destinations.

Look out for the special offers.

When i had to make big changes to my holiday, the were nice enough about it too. (Time and destination changed).

Give them a try, but the best deals are actually on TV, and you will have to calll the UK a couple of times to finalise it.

I was in Salou a couple of years back, it's not the nicest looking resort I've ever been to. If your desired destination is not yet decided upon, get back to me. I've been all over the Costa Dorada, Del Sol, Majorca, Gran Canaria etc.

If you are definately going to Salou make sure you visit Port Aventura, it's the local Disney Land, and I'm serious about that. It is the most amasing theme park I've ever been in. It's bloody huge, and has is divided up in to different regions such as space/futuristic, western, chineese etc. All regions can be reached either by rail, boat, or just walking.

I was staying in the Maritime (I think it was called, something like that anyway). It was on the sea front, and it was a total kip. It looks lovely in the pictures, well did back then anyway. It's the worst complex I've ever stayed in. I'm including the Koka appartments that had cockroaches in Play del Ingles (Gran Canaria).

Why does everybody think of SPAIN -

If you really want a cheap holiday in the SUN - why not try the Lake Balaton in Hungry - It is really fab - sun sun sun, cheap restaurants, pubs. In August they have the wine festival (yeh they do have some really cool wine - as well as some guk) around the lake where you can spend your evenings testing the wine for a few p for a little glass

they also have a disco boat that goes around the lake at night

well worth looking into if you are looking for a cheap holiday - balentinfured is a good bet
and do not worry not many foreigners speak hungarian so you will not be the only one. Oh yeh the shops are also open until around one in the morning which is great for the evening walk along the lake
