I must admit... Uniteds chances of winning the Premiership and even the European Cup are getting very slim now. As much as I hate to say it. :(

He may even miss the World Cup if his hamstring does't heal properly. :(

Get back as soon as you can Roy... our thoughts are with you.

Theyve been very slim for quite some time - Arsenal have it won. Only they can lose it. Roy Keane's problems are only a concern as far the European Cup and the World Cup goes.

Yeah I was really worried he did his cruciate like Pires. I think he stands a good chance to make it for the WC.

I do think that Tristan should be banned for his tackle on Beckham which was a disgrace. That was an automatic red card from my point of view (remember I'm not a Utd fan). DO UEFA have a video panel like the FA in England ??

Any news on how he is? If he misses the WC England will be extremely boring!!!

Keane will be back for the world cup. After bringing Ireland there nearly single handed, he's not going to miss the chance, crocked leg be damned !

Strange is'nt it, one minute they have one midfeilder too many now they dont have nearly enough!

Hmm is this a good thing from an irish point of view,
I would hate it if Man Utd got to the final and he missed it but ,
a nice rest before the world cup cant be too bad for us now can it ?

An injury for your captain a a couple of months before the world cup is never good! Injuries arn't black and white, they can be persistant and re-occuring meaning it's only increased the chances he'll be injured once world cup time comes.

besides, Roy Keane never needs a rest

exactly alb.besides it must be serious if mr. Keane went down.he is not one for faking it.they also thought pires would be ok directly after his fall but now hes going nowhere near japan.at least france had youri waiting in the sidelines biting at the bit for a place.who the **** do we have????germany and cameroon wouldn't be too bothered about us without him, make no mistake

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Dustaz

    typical :/

I really hope its not as serious as first thought. The only tiny silver lining is that Utd dont have a prayer of winning anything without him.

Agreed gandalf, that tackle was a disgrace. Whats the bets what Viera would have got if it was him?

And so it starts. city have almost secured promotion and the bitters are beginning to mouth off about how good they are.

I suppose we will all have to bear them and Keegan until this time next year when they retake their rightful place in the nationwide.

it's certainly going to be an odd midfield for the return game; Keane, Veron, maybe Beckham, and Scholes (or the other ginger lad Butt) out through supension. So who does that leave? Giggs, er... Giggs...

It would be heartbreaking if Keane missed the European Cup final, if United manage to get that far. Reminiscent of Blanc missing the France 98 and Euro 00 final for France, unless I'm very much mistaken, and if I am well then I'm a stupid idiot.

Still, it were a great game of football last night.

Hopefully Beckham only has a bruised ankle and should make it back for next week.

Midfield then would be Beckham, Giggs, Butt and either Fortune, Solksjaer or Phil Neville.

With or without Beckham it will be a backs to the wall job but United are good enough to score at least one at home.

I think it must have been relief allround when the news came that Keano had pulled his hamstring and not damaged his knee again?
Hopefully with rest he will come back even stronger for Ireland in the world cup and United's loss will be Irelands gain.

Why? With Keane, Veron and Beckham out injured and Scholes suspended.

Depends on how bad the damage is and how long he is out for.

If United rush him or he pushes himself too hard to make it back for one or both of the semis he might break down and make it even worse.

How many times has Giggs come back from his hamstring problems only to damage it agin after one or two games.

If Keane waits four or five weeks until fully recoverd then it will help Ireland but United may be out of Europe. He is going to have to make a hard decision in about three weeks. Wait or play?

He is a bitter blue city fan.

We have to put up with these idiots for another season from August telling us how good they are, how big their club, how tall their floodlights are, how they are the only team from Manchester and how great Keegan is only to see them relegated as usual.

Don't react to that muppets post (i've edited it anyway).

Man the bull**** level on boards has gone through the roof recently !!!

Keano should be back for the World Cup but he won't exactly be 100% match fit or in form if he hasn't played regularly.

3 matches ion 7 days would be a big burden if he's not fit.

Alright. I won't say anything from now on. But if he says something like that again I'll have to start with the city songs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,055 ✭✭✭suppafly

Well they said last night that he'll be out for 2-3 weeks swo thats not 2 bad I guess all thing considered. Dirty Deportiva players gettin frustrated and lashing out at the united players. pack of scum bags. Tristan should have definrlty been sent off for his tackle on beckham!

If he posts crap like that again he'll be paying a trip to "banned for a week" city.

I hope he isn't representative of all Man City fans.

cant say i was to upset about keane limping off.and as for the forces of darkness not winning any thing because of his absence is total ****. they are not a one man team; they just happen to have a argentinian whom seams to want to play the beautifull game, instead of demanding stupid wages and making horrendous tackles. but if you manage to get of your chair and go and support them you would see for yourself. for the cost of what you would drink in a night you could see them and that dose not mean going to a diffrent bar. it means going to see games, they play at old trafford thats in manchester england, and if you cant go there you should support your local team if more poeple did that league of irland football might just have a chance .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23 blue moon fever

just as a matter of intrest is there anybody from manchester commenting on this subject, or is it all arm chair supporters. if you cant support yuor local team i think you really should find another sport, or is it a case of just supporting the winning teams or are you all just caught up in the consumer hype, bought the shirt because every one else did.

Before anyone does do not even dream of firing up any Munich crash related songs or there will be trouble.

BTW I'm an Arsenal fan before I'm accused of something nasty :)

Today FM said this morning that there was too much swelling around the knee to do the scan yesterday. Going to try again today.
