What is CSS and Dither. You can turn them off on my Minoka DVD player.

What do they do? I know that the macrovision is disabled.

    Thanks

CSS is just a copy protection system in place on manufactured DVDs.. dont know why theres an option to turn it off, seems strange although it could allow you to play copied DVDs (DVD-Rs).. I couldn't say for sure though, I'm not up-to-date on DVD-R tech wait for Creed to reply.

Dither, i'd presume (i havent heard it mentioned regarding DVD players before) is just a method of smoothing colours on images.. id reccomend turning it off for dvds, may be useful for vcds due to their lower res, it might also (but very doubtful) relate to cleaning up noise from audio signals.
