need help to tune

    newbie in the satellite area here.

    What does all this info mean, and can i use it to tune in my sky digital system to get a channel like say ...

    Freq. Tp= 10723 H tp 111

    Fox Sports Europe (19-06) Cryptoworks 4605 1005 1205 E

    As your minidish is pointed @ 28.2E and the Hotbird satellite is @ 13E, no you cant get that channel.

    Even if you went to the trouble of moving yor dish, the channel in encrypted in cryptoworks and your digi box works under the Videoguard encryption, you could not decode that channel.

    FOX Sports (as in the actual channel live from america) is FTA on another satellite very far west, but it is impossible to tune it in on any digi box other than a pace box, and this is after a hardware upgrade.


    At the moment, assuming your digibox is plugged into the minidish, you are reserved to only channels @ this position.

    A FTA (Free to Air) box can be picked up very cheap and a Astra/Hotbird one dish setup will get you alot of free channels but the good sctuff is always encrypted.
