I'm trying to put a 4.3G Seagate H/D into an old MiTAC 486 but the bios settings don't seem to be able to handle a drive this big, any suggestions?
Can't find a bios update btw.

go to www.seagate.com , get their drive manager software. Read all the documentation, and it will work.
