The Job with Dennis Leary started tonight on RTE 1.

I thought it was great, but that may be because im a fan of Dennis Leary's standup comedy to start with.
And if you are a fan of his comedy like myself, you might of caught a few of his old jokes in the script.

If ye didnt see it, its about Dennis Leary as a self destructive cop who drinks, takes painkillers, smokes, juggles a girlfriend and a wife kids combo whilst being a cop.

    So what did ye think?

Saw it, but not sure what I was looking at. Gritty police drama (shaky camera a la NYPD Blue) or mildly amusing comedy? I might give it another go next week, see if anything happens.

Leary's a great actor. It might work better if it was an hour long.

    Great stuff.

The wheelchair chase was class and the gigantic ass discussion ("two weeks from now we'll be holding hands watching the wizard of oz on fucking widescreen") was hilarious.

I always watch ER so defo gonna watch it again.
