Game logo - help needed

I'm writing a program for a pub quiz... the quiz will be in the style of The Weakest Link, and will be called "The Weakest Drinker" (... you are the weakest drinker ... goodbye!)

Only thing is, I'm not the best at graphic design and I was wondering if any of you graphics gurus out there would be able to knock together a logo for me (in the style of the Weakest Link logo, of course)... what would take you 10 mins would probably take me 2 hours!

As regards the best one- I won't be able to pay you, but I'll buy you a pint or something...

any takers?

I'm not good at photoshoping things but someone should turn the links of the logo into the tops of pints like in this hastinly drawn biro sketch:

Try desiging a logo in flash 4 , it always works for me.

That might be quite difficult seeing that flash is'nt really up to much when it comes to vector drawing/creation... (use illustrator)

I'm pretty sure I can manage the rest of the game graphics... unless you're offering to animate that logo

Whats the timeframe like for an animation then m8?
It doesnt seem to hard from what i remember on The weakest link.. couple of paths etc... even just keyframing, and making sure the speeds between the keys are right.. any chance you could get me an avi or mpg of the animation off the telly and what kind of timeframe you have and ill see what i can do

Timeframe would be less than 5 seconds... animation would involve the words around the 'links' moving into their final positions along the curved path.

I don't have an avi of the one from the show unfortunately.

well.. ill give it a go bardy.. you can put whatever sound etc that you want in it

ill try and get it recorded off the telly and get it animated. When is this needed by m8, as im a bit of a busy bee at the mo.. and what size and compression do you need the video?

oh, as soon as you get a chance, Chief... no mad rush... looking to have the program itself finished and ready to go some time in... ahhh... the next 4-5 weeks. The logic of the game itself is more important than the 'pretty bits' first... so the animation and sound can be added near the end.

The "weakest drinker" quiz is going to be the successor to the current quiz night I'm running in the bar. We run the quiz every second week, and our 5th round of 6 is on Easter Monday night. We'll then have our final round 2 weeks later and then the grand final either one or two weeks after that. It'll then be another week or two before we'll want to start the new quiz. ... I gave myself plenty of time, as you can see.

... oh, and Chief, - as for size... there's no real restriction on it... as long as it's not bloomin enormous... if you could stick within say 1 or 2 megs, that'd be great.

Yo m8.. not a problem.. it will defo be less than that id say, i got my we bro to tape the animation for me it honestly seems like a piece of píss (and i aint the best animator, i can tell you that!

), the three rings rotate around each other at different angles, then you get a couple of quick cuts to moving letters, then the rings just roll the text around to the position the finally lie at, the only thing id like to get looking better is the metal effect and maybe a little glow around the logo. Anyhow ill see what i can do in the next few days

*YAWN* up in just over 5 hrs.. ARSE BICUITS!
