Open software downloaded from internet may come with conditions attached
Some experts believe that, by integrating open-source software into their infrastructure, companies are wandering into a legal minefield.

This is not an issue for software companies alone, says Mr Paul Lambert, a lawyer at Matheson Ormsby Prentice in Dublin. "There is a very real risk for any company using open-source software and it won't be long before a contentious case comes to court."
And they expect us to pay €100 for "journalism" of this quality?

you could post that article unedited onto a humour website as a spoof - damn hilarious - but scarry when you can't correct the author in a talk-back. I hope to many ppl don't take it seriously

Looks like Microsoft-initiated propaganda to me. Writer fell for it hook, line and sinker. Sure, the GPL is viral. If developers can't be bothered to check the licence, and their software becomes GPL'd itself because of that, tough.
