Both times the dye exploded just outside the bank, scaring the robber and both times he left empty handed.

He was also as deaf as a post making him unable to sense the racket he'd whipped up during the course of his burglary. He has been released into the care of an old persons home, his age being given as around 70.

They launched a single trial balloon to see where it would come down , but were distraught when it landed near a police station.
