lost Sky Sub card? procedure?

I have a Sky subscription card but my 18mth
old perpetually takes it out of the card slot.
I always get to recover the card as he usually
pushes it in the air gap under the decoder box
or under the VCR. This time I can't find it
    for love nor money.

Can Sky simply cancel a card and re-issue?
Anyone got experience on this and turnaround
    times or charges,etc?

    -e.

Phoned Sky today for a replacement subscription
card (I guess they cancel the original one
and re-issue the replacement). They charge
10quid UKStg or 16.3Euros approx for a replacement
card (ouch) including postage and packing.
They were willing to do an express overnight
courier delivery for the same amount.

Eirin, a handy tip for you. When you get the replacement card, cut about 1/3 off it. When placed in the digibox it can't be removed by little fingers. Put a small bit of masking tape on the card to ensure a tweezers can grip it if you ever want to reove it again !!

    Hi FTA :)

Actually your advice is actually the advice offered to me by the
Scottish lass who took my call last Friday.

I laughed recently when I saw a thread on this forum entitled
the patter of tiny feet (or words to that effect). When I saw
the headline of the thread I assumed it was about this
phenomenon of toddlers being fascinated by the attractive
Sky subscription cards. Our fellow had a daily routine since
he could reach that slot by removing it and placing it somewhere
cryptic for us to solve :)

the tip sounds very practical indeed. I'll try it once I receive
    the (10UkStg) card (grrrrrr...)
