Poor pings to boards from eircom net connections?

Hi folks,

Yesterday and today, I've been getting poor ping responces from boards.ie, but its OK when I'm dialled up on IOL or oceanfree.

Here is some figures....
Ping statistics for 195.218.115.65:
Packets: Sent = 546, Received = 273, Lost = 273 (50% loss),

Anyone else getting the same?

I'm getting intermittent lags through the UCD proxy. Other sites are flying through (most people are studying, like I should be

), but boards seems to be holding out on me

Maybe this needs serious checking out. Victor started a thread on the Admin board which brought up some other problems from other people. I seem to get the most problems when calling scripts - Replying, editing, quoting, searching, etc. Maybe something to do with no. of connections? 115 people 3 mins ago.

It could be down to the amount of users, but I'm not sure.

When I was on my IOL connection, there were around 25 folk on the Digital Satellite board alone, and it was whizzing along.

Apparently there's a problem with the INEX connection to our hosting providers, I am experiencing the same problems (grand for around 2 mins, gone for another minute, back on again)...

I'm getting quite slow connections - only to boards.ie - from all of the following:

eircom.net, IOLFree, EliveFree.net, Oceanfree...

and in an Internet café I was in today, everything booted along while Boards.ie crawled.

Any idea from the hosting providers when it's going to be sorted?

Its travelling along fine now, only that the number of posts made and locations are missing.

Just to add, I was on an IOL Gold connection earlier.
