I think they are releasing the 'AIB ad song' (To The Bright and Shining Sun?) next month. The Walls are the best band around - Starscream must have been under the influence in Slane????

doubt it, they weren't great but then again they had the early slot...playing to 4 people

best rock n roll moment though when one of the guitarist sparks up a big mama doobie on the big screen just before their last song... RAWK

I saw The Walls in Whelans last Sat. and they blew me away. The first time I heard them was at Slane (they played to at least 40,000 punters) and I thought they did pretty well. But when I heard that they were responsible for the music on the AIB ad my interest was aroused further. I thought The Stunning were just ok
but I admired them for breaking up while still on a high and not dragging a dead horse into the millenium. Besides, The Walls never seem to get a mention in Hot Press so that must mean they're going to be huge. The Frames are being brown-nosed by The Snot Press so regularly now it's disgusting. Not so long ago they treated Glen and the boys like they were carrying some sort of a plague. Keep No Disco - get rid of Hot Press.
After last Saturday night I now proclaim The Walls to be deadly. Full stop.

I heard the Walls last week, strangely enough through a wall as I walking by. They sounded quiet good.

Jaysus Bridie they have me up The Walls with that noise - it's just bang, bang, bang. And you can't even make out what they're singing.
    Mother of God.

Just pay your admission and go in next time instead of leaning with your ear against the outside wall all night.

You can download all their videos at www.thewalls.ie - pretty cool eh....

I saw them play live at Witnness in a packed tent and they were brilliant

Was at the Witnness gig myself. Top class performance and definitely the highlight of the weekend. Are The Walls playing Witnness 2002?

    hopefully not.

came across this in some other thread:

"Witnness 02 - better than last year anyway
For those of you too lazy to find out elsewhere on the 'net just who is playing Witnness this year, here's a handy cut out an keep guide.

It's basically the exact same line-up as T In The Park in Scotland which runs the same weekend. Those money grabbing b astards in MCD are promoting it too. Expect a few 'token' Irish bands to be announced at the last minute, so no change from previous Witnness's there then. The Frames and Damien Rice are allegedly appearing as are half the acts who play MCD's other big cash making bonanza that is Green Energy.

It's a rather fine line up all the same so hats off to Darragh Purcell, Dennis Desmond and their pals in la la land.
