This is slightly realted to another post of mine in Games.

I have been trying to download Monster Bash 1 for the last few days but every time I download it, it gives me a message saying that I dont have the right memory (even through im on a Pentium) . I was told that it could be an emulator. So....

    Q. Can emulators come in a zip/exe file format like this game does?

    Q. How do I open a game that is an emulator? I tryed downloading "Mame" and other similar stuff but could not get it to open in it.

    Q. Has anyone out there got Monster Bash 1?

    thanks

Doesn't sound to me to be an emulator or anything todo with an emulator. I 've also never heard of Monster Bash. Where are you d/l it from?

To me it sounds like and old DOS game. The memory porblem that it is refering to is the old 640k memory limit that the old pre-windows 95 machines had, and was a major feature of dos games. I can't remember of the top of my head to fix the probelm, but i do remember that is is a pain in th ass.

Is this the game you are trying to d/l. If so then what i said above is the problem.

If your not running Windows 2k/XP ..you could try a 'cold boot' into dos and try running your game from there.

Just press f8 while your pc is starting up, and select Safe Mode Command Prompt. Use the CD command to get to the right directory, and give it a shot. To get the sound working might take an extra bit of work tho.
