Anyone out there any idea how long you hang onto the IP address (DHCP Lease Time) in relation to the NTL Cable Modem Service. I Have had the same IP for over 2 weeks.

They usually have a long lease time. You can check when the lease expires by running ipconfig /all under winnt/2k (should work for win98/xp too) if the connection is established from windows. Once you have your machine on 24x7 then you will always have the same ip. You will only loose your ip if your machine is off once the lease expiration date has passed but even this does not guarantee that you will get a different IP next time you connect. DHCP keeps a cache of what mac address has what IP address and it will only give another person your ip if it is short of IP addresses.
