Republic of Ireland defender Steve Carr is reported to be on the verge of missing this summer's World Cup finals after the recurrence of a long-standing knee injury.

Well tbh at least we have Finnan to replace him. I feel really sorry for Carr, he deserves to get to go to the WC based on his performances for Ireland in the past (I won't hold it against him that he plays for Spuds !)

    Gandalf.

Is he or is'nt he ? Some conflicting reports and I still hold out hope but as Gandalf has mentioned Steve Finnan is a first class replacement.
