IOL 56k Hi-Speeds (7kb)

This is interesting though im not sure if its possible.

To be sure this was right i downloaded some small sound from napster and timed them. They all worked out at over 6kbs! This was all done at bout 5am on IOL NL. Modem is a GW lucent 56k (changed the driver a few hours ago - coincidence?).

Its say im connected at 44000bps whick i think works out as bout 5.5kbs but im not mistaken im gettin steady 6 and sometime 7kbs.

I'm getting 2.9k/s right now...(1.40pm, Saturday) and I'm almost praising the lord! I've been getting atrocious d/load speeds for the last month or so.

Have Esat done some "goodness" to their service?

Well i get a crappy ping on iol nl, but i do download at good speeeds i usually download at a rate of 4.2 and when i use download accalerator plus i can get a rate of 9-10 for bursts of about 2 minutes.

Still get a crap ping and lagg like nobodys busineess when playin games though
