The way to save is :w, it is a "quick" save. what else do you want it to do?

[edit]excuse me but that advice is of no use to me, you see the problem i'm having is when i use the :w command the data previously entered is rewritten over and over again.

and when i used the term "quick save" cause i used to using windows or something :)

can anyone help, thanks in advance[\edit]*

    *edited to avoid further argument!

listen assorted dumbasses i want to know is there any other way of saving other than :w because any time i use it, it rewrites the damn stuff already in the file, thus when i reopen it i have the same stuff over and over and over again!
is lame and will only end in you being flamed...
    ...sh1thead ;)
