    Anyone Help

    Want to install linux Redhat on me hard drive but it keeps asking for a mount point , is that the same as " C "prompt??

    Also want to dual boot with win 2k server , should i go server first
    linux second or vice versa

    Know any good books/ Sites on linux / redhat , i havent started yet and its already throwing me around.

    When it asks for a mount point it basically means it wants a starting point to put the whole tree onto. It's much the same as the c:\ but in your case you'd use /

    All the rest of your tree will then branch out under this root folder. /tmp - /usr - /etc - /bin and on and on....

    As you said, it's already throwing you around. Try get a good book. I got my version with the unleashed book, which helpfully explains you through the installation process - what you are doing and why. Linux can be good fun, but if you've never used any Unix-like system before, it can be very daunting. Look out for HOWTO's at www.linuxdoc.org but even then some of these require you to have some knowledge. Do Goolge searches for tutorials and stuff, it's the only way.
