Net MD

Just wondering if anyone got their hands on the one of the new Sony net MD walkmans. I was looking at them on amazon the other day and they look sweet. 32X recording meaning you can record an 80 minute MD from mp3s in 2-3 minutes using a USB cable.

I'm seriosuly considering picking one up or an MD deck with net MD in it. Anyone have any comments/experience?

Dabs are selling them for STG£158 including VAT.. Not a bad price (i think I saw them in Dublin for IR£350+)..

That's about €260 or IR£206 in the old money!
Doesn't include postage of course..

bah, have just recently got myself a new MD.. might be a worthwhile purchase as a seperate depending on its exact requirements (not a chance of me moving my pc near my stereo system..)

doesnt seem to be any plans for a seperate unit yet (probably due to the above problem in mentioned..)

Umm I don't think thats the new Net MD model with the high speed recording. Thats just the old MZR900 with a digital PC link, it can only record at 1X

Amazon's prices seem very good. You'd get one for under 300 Euro! I'm well impressed. Just sceptical about buying something like this from them as I'd say it'd be plenty of hassle if it breaks. Anyone ever had an experience with this from amazon? hmmm perhaps i need a new thread for this

Yeah, it probably is the old model. But if you look at the description, it says:
[In addition to transferring music in up to 32x speed.....]
