    The server machine itself seems to still be running ok, as pings are coming back, but connection via NNTP to the server software seems to be shagged

    iol went to hell over the weekend, pop.iol.ie, pop.esatclear.ie, some webservers and esatclear subscriber pages were all down at some point.
