I'm very very going! I'm gonna camp outside Empire Music on March 8th even though the tickets aren't gonna be sold out for months. Just to make a statement on the importance of this musical event. System Of A Down!! For the second time! Woo! "Who victored over? The Seljuks! When the holy land was taken!!!" arr.

Its gonna be deadly. I saw Tool last May in the SFX and they're amazing. I wonder if they'll bring both stages over. Hope i dont have to deal with 2 bands clashing at one gig for the first time in my life. Lookin forward to Ozzy and SOAD too.

Every non-seating concert says that. Go with someone 18+ and you'll get in, probably get in without them anyway.

under 18s can get in ( i think) if an adult of 25 or older with id is with them :)

    From Ticket master site:
    Performance Information
** ALL CHARGES WILL BE IN EUROS ** UNDER 16'S MUST BE ACCOMPANIED
BY A PERSON 25 OR OVER - ID REQUIRED

REALY hope i can get in this way, me wants to see SOAD :(

I SO WANT TO SEE SYSYTEM OF A DOWN. THEY RULE AND ROCK. OH AND

I think thats a good price... for the quality of bands playing anyway. Just as long as we don't get ****ed over, and get a few of the bands cancelling before the gig. If Slayer pulled out I'd be getting my refund straight away.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19 Ryuji

I can afford that! They better let me in without a 25 year old!
What if it was a bunch of people between 15-17 going together? Wouldn't that be alright?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,975 ✭✭✭Oeneus

It isn't really good value for me considering the only band that I would go for is Ozzy/Black Sabbath. I'm not really fond of the likes of SOAD or Slayer. Me is a Claasic Rocker :)

Well... if you like Zakk Wylde, there is a chance that Black Label Society will be playin here. Zakk will be here for sure with Ozzy.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,975 ✭✭✭Oeneus

Don't worry about it. Just take a friend with a fake ID :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,655 ✭✭✭Ph3n0m

ok let me lay it down straight - if you are (un)lucky to look under 18 - simply you are screwed!!!!!!!! no excuses, no begging, the security will just laugh at you. but on the other hand you may be able to get it if the security are cool enough (but thats a long shot)

all i can say is that moi (way over 25) will be attending, and should anyone think they need "adult" supervision (lol), I will help them get in. after all that is what us responsible adults want - more people to take after us, so we dont have to corrupt them with alcohol, drugs, sex with women/men/other

also zakk wilde and cradle of filth have now been confirmed for the irish and uk leg of the tour (its getting better and better)

    Ph3n0m Kicks Ass!!!!!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,655 ✭✭✭Ph3n0m

yes I kick ass for moraly corrupting the youth of ireland.....mwhahahahahahahaha ;)

anyway as the date of the gig draws nearer, anyone who wants "adult" accompanyment, pm me and I will organise a pre-Ozzfest meeting in town, a few days before the gig a) so everyone gets to know my damn face and remembers it so we can b) organise meeting up outside the event

The Poor guy's gonna be surrounded by a bunch of hairy, metalling kids cramping his style.

Just make sure you don't bump into any of you buddies, Ph3n0m.:)

    Hopefully not!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Gar_ptc

    **** you richie!!
    you werent there man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 184 ✭✭Richie

For a good reason Gar - I think they suck the big one!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Gar_ptc

this anjive will not be tolerated; you horse'less; non-lord you.

    oh i saw them
    they would be TOO much for you,pretty boy; for you're all but a pretty face...no substance;
that is the teaching of AMEN.

    kinza took the jive of amen also;
    A LADY!
    Thou art not a lord

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 184 ✭✭Richie

So Gar, because I don't appreciate the mindless, senseless (in my opinion) noise that constitutes Amen's "music", I lose my lordly status? Well my most sincere apologies for having an opinion that dares to differ from yours. Amen most certainly would not be "too much for me". If I thought the band wrote music worth listening to, I'd like them, whether or not it incurred your obviously superior scorn and wrath.
I think Amen are poo. That is my opinion. That will be all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Gar_ptc

anything that differs my train of thought is confrmist and stupid, young richard!!!

So, by your logic, you reckon that liking a band that were so obviously thrown together because record companies knew they could make a quick buck, because angst is all the rage with the kids now, is non-conformist. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭screamager

    hehehehe....18 the monday before...hope they're strict....hahaha

seriously though, there's never trouble at big gigs like that for ID. they always say 18's but i reckon its just someone havin a laugh...every gig i've gone to i've been ****tin myself right up to the door cos of that and have never been turned away, cept in the poxy music centre (got in eventually though).

Tool were ****in cool last June so hopefully they'll be a bit good again. Cant wait to see Ozzy and Soad too. Always been interested to see if cradle of filth actually have fans too.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Gar_ptc

oh richie; your cynicism...AMEN jive the big one.
    #big time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 113 ✭✭pookster

Tool would be worth it on their own. I just hope the band that supported them (some lead singer with long red hair), are nowhere in sight. They were sh1te.

    is ozzfest only USA bands?

  • Moderators, Regional North East Moderators Posts: 12,739 Mod ✭✭✭✭cournioni

Well... mainly US bands. COF are from England though. But as long as you have bands like Slayer and Black Label Society it doesn't matter where theyre from!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 511 ✭✭✭Gar_ptc

nothing against american bands; just would hope to see some irish or britsh metal bands at the thign...corrupted for example

any word on the eftones for this fest?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 193 ✭✭Eyeliner__Boy

any chance of muse playing ozzfest?????? theyd be perfect :-P

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19 Ryuji

**** you whoever said I can forget about it! Go back to your half-empty jar...even though you are positive that you can go, lucky bastard...I'll get in...somehow...;) ...

I want my Ozzy, Zakk, Slayer and SOAD!
Nice mixture of new and old stuffs there!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭screamager

Last year Raging Speedhorn opened the main stage in england so maybe they'll have someother rising metal band at it this year.

that was Cyclefly that supported Tool, they were fairly bad.
