Best Breakfast Show Poll

This is my first time posting a poll, so hopefully it works.

Just read an article here

which says that the new Channel 4 breakfast show (which will replace The Big Breakfast when it ends in March) will take it's style from the Sun "newspaper".

So I was wondering which breakfast show people on this forum prefer (and why).

This replacement for Big Breakfast sounds dire. A visual version of THe Sun? Please god no!

Going against my normal opinions, I actually like Sky News Sunrise, as I think Simon McCoy is one of the best newsreaders around. He and Natasha Kaplinsky were good together, but I dont reguarily watch morning TV, so I dont know how Julie Etchingham is getting on.....

Jeremy Bowen is not "cuddily" enough for brekkie TV, as opposed to Eamonn Holmes, but I hate GMTV. I loved TVam, and so I could never get into liking GMTV.

The Big Breakfast has been losing its way for 3 years now....
Put it out of its misery and shoot it now, April is a long way away in TV land, as we know....

BTW, Ireland AM is only there, so TV3 can fill up its daily quota of home produced programming in the handiest possible way!!

Who cares that no one watches it! Its better than any primetime in-house production !!

for me it is The Big Breakfast. i want nothing too heavy or serious in the morning when my mind isn't working properly so The Big Breakfast does the trick. the newsreader is something else too :eek:

I wish I was a student, but unfortunately I'm earning my bread by the sweat of my brow (well, maybe not literally, but you know what I mean).

So nobody seems to like GMTV !!

I would have thought that someone out there would have fallen for the charms of Eamonn Holmes' big mushy head !

Someone on another forum said that with Channel 4 turning to "The Sun", GMTV was too "Daily Mail" for them..

I agree! And Lord knows how much I hate that paper!!:)
