Anyone know if one of the more common versions of Linux come with a built in web proxy? I need to test a Linux based proxy and I'd
rather know the answer to this one before I go ahead and install the thing.

    Cheers

    Fing

If you mean a firewall/proxy, then I'd recommend installing OpenBSD, and then running ipf/ipnat and making ppp dial on demand.

If its just a web-proxy you want, squid or apache do just that.
