Dark Angel!

did anyone see dark angel last night on network2??
what was the story with the two endings?
even though the 'happy ever after ending' was a bit too 'feel good'!!
can anyone shed any light on the subject???

As far as I can tell the "Happy Ever After" ending as you put it was the thought running through Max's head as the bullet hit her.

Personally I think it ended well. I am assuming that it is an end of series episode. If you look it like that, it is open ended that if Mr Cameron wants to make a 2nd series then he can but if he doesn't most of the loose ends have been tied.

That said I don't mind if it was the end of Dark Angel. The series started well but it seemed to downhill. Personally I would have liked to see more "Eyes Only" baring the city's corruption to the light of day but it didn't go like that.

It was out before Dark Angel, I think Mr Cameron got the idea from this film.......

Both ppl are very like each other, both trained from an early age.

Yeah I saw it. Though to say that Cameron took the idea from there is a bit too inconcusive IMHO. The main level on which they are the same is that both characters are Genetically enhanced soldiers, created at birth. I'm sure Soldier wasn't the first to feature that sort of technological advance, can anyone back me up on this?

Nope .. in Soldier, they're just trained constantly from birth, with those who are deemed weak "removed" (as shown by the little fat kid being shot).

The 2nd gen. guys in Soldier were genetically enhanced.

No Jean-Claude Van Damage and Dolph Lundgren, made the film in 1992, Soldier was in 1998....

Jessica Alba also appears in the remake/update of Flipper on weekend mornings on RTE.
haevn't actaully sat down to watch it.

Strange this should come up actually , as I usually wouldnt remember this except for the fact ive been reading over them for the last few days , but the idea for Dark Angel is almost certainly gleamed from Yukito Kishiros graphic novel series Battle Angel Alita . Cameron is a known fan of the manga , and at times the asthetic similarities between the two are remarkable even if the actual plots themselves have really no relation to each other , tbh while I get the Soldier comparison even from what little ive seen of the show , id say Battle Angel is more of an Influence , if only for the fact that Soldier was ****e

Has anyone been to the Dark Angel Site. Its really cool. Its all done with flash. It has these cool animations in it and lots of pix interviews and behind the scenes the stuff. What actually happened in last week episode cuz I missed it. I left it the week before when she had just broken her friend out of the water container yoke and then Lydeker came in, and then it ended. So could someone fill me in on what happened in the next episode please.
