this may be moved but I figure I may as well start it here as it applies to most users here...

where are you all having your debs or has it even been decided yet?

and if it's in a hotel, what are you doing after it, because most hotels my year has tried want to kick us out around 2am or so.

Some local hotel, I have nothing to do with the organisation so I don't know much more than that, tbh I don't know whether I'll bother going or not, very expensive for what will probably turn out to be quite a mediocre night out.

Forgotten exactly where, but it's a hotel. We're staying until like 6am when we're having a big irish breakfast.

    which county is this in?

I am happy to admit that I will not be attending my debs, as i dont need an excuse to go on a big pissup, nor do i need the company of lots of people whom i have had to spend the last 6 years of my life with, yet whom i loathe with quite some passion.

Personally, I cant think of a more suitable punishment for doing terribly badly in my LC, than having to go to my debs.

there are quite a few people I will never miss once I leave but there are still enough people in school who I will miss especially if I end up going to college in the UK so I'm glad we have it...
and I'd be one of the last people in my year who'd be expected to have any sense of school spirit...

My school don't have debs anymore due to the fact that a few fellas had to get their stomachs pumped and some student pulled a teacher

Kilmore? Nice place... but the food is ****. But then again all you'll be wanting is beer, am I right?

I dunno but I hope mine is in a hotel so I can get a room upstairs and *ahem*... yanno. Then it wouldn't really matter what time they're kicking ya out at would it?:D

Probably some hole though. Knowing the nature of the Bailieborough ones on the committee... we'll probably end up having it in a cardboard box.

Ah! I came pretty close! Were having it in the County Club, Dunshaughlan. Oh well, as long as I get hole on the night that won't matter! :D

Good place. Bar closed at 2.45 for us (and I went and bought £30 of smirnoff ice wtf was I thinking?? ) and breakfast was served at 4.30. Had a good laugh, even despite the fact that I hated most of the people in my year.

    :)

Haha well I only hate two in my year. If I'm drunk enough (I'll be drinking, well skulling Jack Daniels) I might give the two of em a good clipping. I don't think I'll be having breakfast, unless theres a few bottles of JD lying around!

    I live in Dunshaughlin,
you shouldn't be worring bout the County Club, just get ready for the Vortex, excellent place

Heard the food wasn't too bad, well alot better than the other places that the committee people checked out.

As for beer? well i plan on having a good night, that does not necessarily mean drinking until i puke, some drink of course, but beer? nada.

Vortex? That a night club or something? They better play some Pantera or somethting along those lines!

And the reason for me not liking Dunshaughlan is because I got thrown outta that pub... uh... James Lawless is it? for supposedly wrecking the toilets. And whenever we stop off there after concerts (with the usual gear on, you know what I'm on about!). All you get is big long stares. As if no one had seen a metalhead before.

Yeah we got a wee bit of coverage too yesterday. 30 students were suspended between Monday and Wednesday (some of em expelled). I myself was in a bit of bother.
