    Hay all

In work I'm trying to fix a Compaq Armada LapTop, the prob is that the mouse map on it does not work right, so i put a ps/2 mouse in. But the ps/2 mouse does not disable the mouse mat. so the pointer goes mad and starts to click on everthing, causeing all sorts of probs in its self. The laptop is running winnt 4 sp6, is there a way to disable the mat and just use the ps/2 mouse

    thanks

Checked in the BIOS? The majority of laptops which don't auto-disable the trackpad when they detect a PS/2 device will have a BIOS option hidden away somewhere that does it.
