    I don't have RTE and I don't know why,
    I don't have TV3 and I don't know why,
I don't have ITV or Channel Five,
Because I Sky, because I got Sky, because I got Sky

For anyone who doesn't know what he's referring to, the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show's "Gift Grub" featured a song late last year along the lines of Afroman's "Because I got high", sung by "Bertie" (Mario Rosenstock).

I'm sure a recording of it exists somewhere on www.todayfm.com , for anyone interested.

But as to starting another topic about the channels not featured on Sky Digital, I'm sure we don't need it...

If you want to talk about the song...well, okay. If you want to talk about lack of channels, two threads already open.

I'll come back later and see how this thread develops.

Now this is intriguing .... You got me guessing. UTV back on, this time with placement? C4? Extra BBCs to co-incide with launch of BBC4? BBC Radio?

It's like being a kid and waiting for Santa ...

you're right about the Santa thing. he has me guessing too. Uncle Grueber, i sincerely hope you are not bulls**tting us. what line of work are you in BTW? if something is going to be appearing on our EPG's i am sure it will be on a sheet of A4 bundled with our Sky magazines due out next week

I too hope that Uncle Grueber, (who registered today) is not doing a "Wind Up".

  • Registered Users Posts: 51 ✭✭Uncle Grueber

    I've said too much already.

I dunno... I presumed at first that Uncle Grueber was referring to the apparent upcoming addition of RTÉ, and possibly ITV to the Sky Digital package... (?)

Hmmmm, I wonder if Uncle Grueber is related to the Aunty?
(If so, could be a nice source -does Boards.ie have a fund for informants?)

  • Registered Users Posts: 51 ✭✭Uncle Grueber

No, I'm not related to Aunty. And Jebus, I wish I was a paid informant. :) All I can say is there's a clue in the recent goings on in the past week.

Understandably you can't say what, but any chance of a more specific when?

  • Registered Users Posts: 51 ✭✭Uncle Grueber

I believe at the end of the month. I'm not sure whether that means testing starts or whether it means anouncement being made.
