There are some dangerous teams out there this year for the Munster Junior cup, apart from the obvious Rockwell College, Christians, PBC, and Munchines. These Titans may have some problems before they see each other off in the Semi-Finals. Infact Rockwell College will have an extreamly hard challange to them in the quater-finals, not from any of those above teams, but from an amazingly stong "B" School team facing them, Glenstal Abbey School. This School though not renown for there rugby, in the past two years in senior level, they seamed to have been robbed of there chance to get into the Semi-Finals of the Senior Cup, by some dier reffing. But this years Junior Glenstal side have previously beaten Rockwell, PBC, Ard Scoil this year, and had a close victory last year against CBC. So this may be when the titans fall. Glenstal are not the only, "Dark Horse's" in this years cup, an impressive, tough and positivly determind St. Nessans School, are ready to beat back any challanges that aproach them. However these two dark horses have to play each other off for the "B" School Mungret Shield, after the Quater-Finals of the Musnter Cup. So we could be looking at these teams possibly playing them selves twice through out the Season.

    Favourites For Victory:

    Christian Brothers Cork.
    Glenstal Abbey School Limerick.

Firstly your sig is from Neil Young not Kurt Cobain he just used it in his suicide note.

Secondly, PBC, CBC etc. never lay their full strength team until the QF's of the Cup. So any previous matches are irrelevant.

The most important thing chaps is that we all have a spiffing day out at the rugger.

    Hurrah!

I saw a pic of Peter Stringer and R O' Gare's brothers in the papers last week.

    Who do they play for?

    Are they any good?

And to days victors in one of the Quater-Finals was, the Dark Horse as predicted. Glenstal Abbey School prevailed to day against Rockwell very closely, very closely indeed. The first half produced a very equal amout of play from both teams, extremely good play at times, and some messy play at other times by both teams. As the second half begun within 5 minutes, Macon MacNamara, picked the ball up from a kick over his head, and proceded up the pitch from his own 22, breaking several tackles, leading Glenstal up to the half way line, as he was tackled, he off loaded to a crashing 1st Center, Diarmuid O'Keefe, and broke clear the Rockwell Defense running it under the posts, this converted with ease by Denis Halton. With this try conseeded, rockwell produced a full 10 minutes of great attacking keeping Glenstal in thier 22. With the time drawing closer to the end, Glenstal managed to kick them selves out of their 22, and for the last 5 minutes giving rockwell a suffering end to there match. Mention goes to Killian Roche, and Marcus O'Driscoll on the rockwell side for a good game.

    End Result 7 - 0 Glenstal.

Glenstal goes to face Cresent next week, an extremely powerfull Limerick team.
