    Hi All !

Does any one know if "signal throwers" (well i think that's what they are called) work on the Sky Digi boxes.

I have a portable in my bedroom and am wondering if I can use the signal from my box downstairs to watch TV upstairs without having to get another box,

Obviously i know I will have to watch whatever channel is showing on the box downstairs.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Welcome to the Forum!!!!!

I think the correct name is a "VideoSender".
I have had one for about 2 years, and think its excellent. I bought it by mail order from one of the UK satellite dealers that you see advertisied in What Satellite magazine.
If I remember correctly, Argus also sells them, although I dont know how relaible they are.
Like all electrical equipment, models vary. mine has also a remote extender, which changes channels from the other room. As i said I am very happy with the Videosender.
Maybe Tony, who is a regular on this forum, and is involved in the satellite business can give you more information.
Check his profile and there is a link to his website.....

Welcome to the forum Micksta. There was a discussion about the very item some weeks back here

General consensus - a good idea. Watch out for rip offs - a local TV shop to me is looking for over €200 for s german branded set. I think Argos is €126, more if you want a second receiver. 'Standard web price' is about £79STG, much less in the states, though no one will ship.

You can see I have been thinking of one too ...
