i saw these 2 channels today using the search and scan and i thought, we have gotten 2 new channels from the BBC!!!! then when i pressed select i got the all too familiar banner. why do Sky insist on adding channels to the EPG we cannot watch (TARA, S4C, CBBC, CBeebies, Pub Channel and the channel for dentists). i wouldn't think these channels are paying for a place on the Irish EPG when we cannot see them. so how about some sense and put on channels we can use like the BBC radio stations.

a thought came to me a few minutes ago. when is BBC4 due to launch? could it be possible that these channels turn on when BBC4 start? but then that leaves the question about CBBC which shares with BBC Choice. that isn't rebranding, is it? just an idea

Yes Mossy, i agree its odd that the BBC Childrens channels are on the EPG and "Are Not Available". Strange that BBC News 24 and the others are not even featured on the EPG.
Something must be planned for the future. A subject to keep our eyes on!!!!!!!!

let's hope something does come of this and that i am not talking through my arse. March the 4th is the launch of BBC4 BTW
