i am using outlook express 6 on my main computer. i hav a LAN set up with another computer in my house and i am wondering if it is possible to set outlook on the second computer to use the same identities from the main computer by setting it to load the files across the network. the main reason is so i dont have half my emails on one computer and the other half on the other.

is this possible and if so.. how?

    thanks

    kevin

Can you not just map the folder and run Outlook from it across the network ?

The folder that outlook.exe is in, forget using another copy of outlook.

this might sound like a very basic question, but how do i map the folder like you said marcus so that outlook will load across the network?

Share the folder that contains the Outlook exe file on the network. Right click, sharing, full access permissions, specify a password.

Then on the other comp, right click Network Neighbourhood, map network drive, select Outlook computer on network, choose folder that has Outlook in it.

It should then pop up as your h drive or something.

Else just go though Network Neighbourhood, go to other comp, into Outlook folder, right click and drag the exe file onto the desktop and just have it as a shortcut there.
