No, its just a role reversal of when RTE (if they ever) get on Sky, advertising and programming rights will not allow it.

All of the ITV channels/regions are still FTA on a non Sky STB.

IMHO they definitely will, when a competing platform gets going and only then.
Sky have the power and ability to have them on,clearing away all their own conveniently imposed red tape, but will only do this if they discover that a competing platform has emerged and is winning customers from them because they are providing these channels.
It is nonsense to suggest otherwise.

ITV2 was FTA for a time at the begining and again recently but is now in full Videocrypt. AFAIK ITV1 was never FTA.

I'm just after winning an auction for a Panansonic Digibox & FTV card on ebay so at least I will have the option of viewing the stations I have been asking for; for months at least in one room. I still feel as strong about these stations being blocked out on my box that I fork out a subscription of €28!! every month. Pay more, get less(in a way). Hopefully "It's TV" will pound Sky into being more reasonable when it comes to the terrestrials

    News 24,BBC 2regions,3,4,ITV1,C4,C5,S4C,CBBC can't wait!!
