    ok so you have £700 (€890) what TV do you buy ?
    widescreen ? Sony ? Panasonic ?
    what one would you pick and why ?
    no all in one DVD/Video and over 28" screen.

    A decent amp for my guitar.
    Some CDs.
    Lots and lots of beer.

    this is not a what would you do wiht 750 quid it's whats the best TV for 750.

    Yes but I already have a TV.

    So I would buy beer, and watch my TV.

    Philips do a nice (proper) flat screen with "virtual" Dolby sound for around that sort of money.
    I'd buy that.

    panasonic 28" wide screen seems to suit my needs nicely :)
