Am I the only one ready to leave Ireland or failing that sleep until
Spring has sprung, The weather is starting to really get to me,
my job is partly to blame (I'm a delivery driver), driving in these conditions is just about the most wearing thing you can do while remaining dry (until I get out to deliver of course!).

Anyone else feeling down as the wind and rain lashes your window pane?:(

    Mike.

I dunno... this winter seemed pretty mild to me, cept for the strong winds. We aint had any snow or too many freezing "cold snaps". In Dublin anyway.

And who says Global Warming is bad thing? :]

I think I only (personally) put on the central heating twice in January, but then I live in an apartment block (they tend to loose very little heat compared to houses). Compare this to last year when there was ice outside (in the shadow of the building) for 3 weeks.

Maybe I'm odd but I'd take dry and chilly over wet and mild anyday.

Actually my favourite is Cool and Dry also, but there must be a clear sky. I love on some summer evenings after a warm day, just chilling out on a beach (or similar) with a couple of cans.

I don't like extreme heat, actaully I don't like midday @ all. I am a dusk/dawn and to hell with everything else type person. That's when I find the best weather combinations. But has anyone noticed that the coldest days during the winter are when you get up in the morning to see a the sun shining, a beautiful clear sky, and then the pavements are like death traps.

    Just a thought :)

Just this week weather has sucked badly. Strong winds are all well and good, and I like them when I'm walking and it's dry but once it rains, it's filthy. It's even worse when you've spent all of the last 3 days driving around in a car and then trying to learn how to ride a motorbike, in wind and rain. Like me :(

If I had the time I would get myself a kite and fly it somewhere - but maybe that's a bit sad ???

Erm, what else can you do when its very windy ?

Apart from that horrible show today at about 4 it was a pretty good day. I work outside most of the time and I was working around Leeson st. tonight and the weather was grand. I love a mild evening like these. Once the wind keeps down i am happy. There is nothing worse than high winds as it just makes the day colder and wetter.

Couldn't agree more. Stormy weather is far more interesting than boring old sunny days. No wind though, don't like much wind.

    SNOW AND THUNDERSTORMS, I SAY!!

Not a fan of heat or sunshine, me. Cold, windy, wet, snowy, icy... Proper northern European weather. Bring it on! :)

I have to agree that i do indeed like the colder days too, not too cold and or warm...you get the freshest air in the morning of these cold days...in the summer, it's all humid and ****ty feeling, i love the fresh cool air.

In dublin, it's great, you're beside the sea and so, it's never too hot, a lovely breeze is always flying around!

Although on a hot day, there's nothing like getting into a REAL cool pool and just relaxing in the sun!

If the world were perfect it would only rain at night.. and by day we would have clear skies and warm sun... we do not live in a perfect world though... and winter is far from over!! When it does snow in Ireland its never until Jan/Feb and sometimes March and it has snowed in some parts of the country pretty bad.. Dublin usually escapes the snow.

Rain and wind is not too bad, driving is a pain but better than ice and snow i think!

The weather is not that depressing... we are not too bad off.. believe it or not our climate is temperate.. never extreme so i would rather a lot of rainy winters and somewhat warm summers
than 90 degree summers with no rain at all and -20 winters...
Hurricanes, Tornado's etc etc.. that would suck even more.. at least we know apart from the odd flood in certain areas after a lot of rain we are not going to wake up to a destrotyed country. And what if we lived far enough north that half the year was in perpetual darkness? Seriously depressing! No people we have ot good here compared to most.. stop winging and be thankful for our fertile little rainy country.

I agree we have it a lot better than most countries with non extreme conditions , and we really appreciate the sun when it does come out !

What sucks is that I'm so used and comfortable with cold weather that I have been invited to go to Spain in the summer and naturally I accepted, hey its a holiday, and because of the heat I will DIE!

    Yesterday was fun...

Dad-"**** off, it's a nice day so you can walk your sister to school!"

Me-"F1n3" *Goes walking, starts to rain straight after splitting sunshine - Stops once I get home*

    Dad-"Going to town!?"

Me-"Yus" *Hops on bus, sun splits the rocks - Get off bus, thunder storm - Stops once I reach the net cafe, absolutely drowned*

    Dad-"hahaha 0wn3d!"

    Me-"Fvck You, Toe slime!"

    ----

In other words, the weather that I hates the most is the weather that hates you back, and waits until the most inconvieniant time before falling from the heavens... Then again, I was never fond of heat - it doesn't match my typical teenage dress sense, comprised of heavy, warm jackets, baseball cap, jeans, T-Shirt and Jumper...

God sure did cock up when it came to the weather system... Then again, why complain when we DO live right next to the ****ing sea...
