This is abit of a long one. I need a Republic of Ireland X1 whose Surname begins with the letter K.

Sounds easy but all have to be picked in a position that they played in for ireland.

i.e. Cant have Alan Kelly on left hand side of midfield

    Formation required in 4-4-2

OK heres what I have so far.

    Goalkeepers
Alan Kelly(Jr or Sr) or Dean Kiely

    Defenders
    Jeff Kenna
    Gary Kelly
    Alan Kernaghan
    (AN Other)

    Midfielders
    Kevin Kilbane
    Roy Keane
    Mark Kinsella
    Mark Kennedy

    Forwards
    David Kelly
    Robbie Keane

Sorry couldn't think of another defender. Bah now this will bug me all night

Roy Keane - Played Centre Half against Iceland at Lansdowne and he was booed (by the majority of fans) every time he touched the ball, for refusing to play in a previous game. This match really struck it home to me that the "suits" had taken over from the "real" fan.

Nice one frankly, that last defender was really doing my head in :)

    WEll Played

Another alternative would be to slot gary kelly in full back, Keane at centre half and Cardiff man Graham Kavanagh (who is a much underrated player) in the middle ofthe park.

Yeah I am a bit surprised that McCarthy has decided to draft Healy who is on loan at Coventry from Celtic and not getting a game, into the Irish squad. I would have preferred to have a look at Kavanagh who seems to be the "main man" at Cardiff and we all know what he can do from a dead ball situation, re Leeds :)
