    A friend is selling his dell p2 400 computer with a 17" monitor. i'm thinking of offering him my 15" plus some cash for the monitor so he still as one to sell with his machine.

    how much should i offer?

    ( i'm now a crazy poster, woohoo :D )

    how much do you want the monitor?
    Price a second hand 15" and 17" and subtract the difference and that will give you a good idea

    A mate just bought a second hand 15" for 30 euro.

    well t get an indication i went to marx-computers.ie, got the price of a new 15" and 17", halfed them and subtracted one from the other and got €30.

    that a fair offer do ye think?

    Yeah I'd say thats a fair offer. (Obviously assuming both monitors are of similar quality)
