Sorry if this the wrong board but I have a question about Chicago. My mum is going there this friday for a week. She plans to do some shopping and see the sights! Unfortunately I'm not going! :( Does anyone know any good sights to see over there? She also is interested in shopping. So if any one has been there and knows their way around, could you please share! Thanks!

A quick search resulted in: http://www.chicagotraveler.com/

Normally direct this type of query to the Travel / Hols Board under After Hours.

Thanks. I saw a coulple of sites but I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience of it.

I wasn't sure where to post a message with this subject. Are you able to transfer it over to after hours? I don't want to have two up. It'd just annoy everyone!

i've been to chicago! actually, quite a few times! my mommy is from chicago. actually, we live in alaska, and we are NOT ESKIMOS.

anyways, carson pierie scott and marshall fields are super shopping. theyre on Lake and State street. Sears tower is snazzy, also. and if youre going a little out of the way, woodlfield mall in chaumburg is good. i always liked it.

Don't go into Marshall Fields expecting to leave there with money in your pocket... that place is probably more expensive than Brown Thomas.

Also if your an NBA fan (of course you are!) go and see the Bulls playing in the United Center. I was there to see the Bulls beat Miami in 2000 (4 rows from the front :p)

The museum of science and industry is great crack though i'm not sure whether your mum would be into walking around a nazi submarine or going down a coal mine. I saw The Exorcist in the theatre where John Dillinger was shot. Not sure if she'd like that either. What else is there? Ehhh the playboy mansion?
