Just wanted to know what is going on in colleges around the country for Rag Week.I'm in GMIT Castlebar and the details haven't yet been announced (not that i know of anyway).

I'm in carlow IT. On monday there's a fake wedding ... followed by the fake afters, and a "beach party" in the edge. pissup galore.

Tuesday there's students bungee jumping and the "iron stomach" competition , U2 tribute band in the edge, and apparently a sh1tload of DIT students coming down to carlow for the night. more drinking.

Wednesday there's uh... "The Amazing Hypno-Dog", more drinking.

Thursday there's feck all besides drinking , some christy moore tribute in the college canteen. Rag Ball on in the edge.

I'm in GMIT Castlebar aswell, theres nothing announced yet but take advantage of the free bowling and lazer quest all week.

Also i would advise you to go into college, not for class mind, as there will be stuff going on around the Students Union.

A couple of things last year were, Assasinate the president, (shoot the SU president with water guns, there was a team of "terrorists" and a team of "bodyguards" leggin it around ALL castlebar last year, was a laff) There was bungee running, bouncy castle type thing and a gladiator type battle downstairs in the TF last year aswell.
There was a hawaii night in Irish House aswell, i think, but the weather was nothing like this sh!t we're getting this year.

Not to mention the copious amounts of drink WEEEEeeeeeeee........

Whey, Rag Week!

Not sure if it's Kevin St. DIT, but our Mistery Tour might be what you're talking about, Munch. Nobody know's where we're going (supposedly). There's a Rag Ball aswell during next week and various drinking games in the Palace, I would imagine.

I've already ordered a replacement liver.

Still damn cool though.

Just saw the schedule foe castlebar today, its pretty good, theyre gonna have a school uniform fancy dress on monday night *drool* and a rodeo machine and a sumo wrestling (suits) in the TF on thursday! WOOHOO!!!

Theres more but i've forgtotten.....

there are numerous festivites in maynooth. There's the usual drag ball. bands like turn. david kitt's playing. band called label (members of the frame, maryjanes and mundy), hothouse flowers, teh revs.........usual **** liker that.

also there's bungee jumping though, which might be a bit of craicola.

Being from Castlebar GMIT also, I have to admit that the Assasinate the President was the best laugh ever. Because our college is simple a maze of corridors, which is perfect. But unfortunately it didn't happen this year.

I dunno I only really started rag week last wedesday night when I was playing in Cosmos, but I didn't finish it until last night. I missed all of college yesterday, and most of today, and I'm off to Egypt on Thursday (Beat that)

Twas ok this year, i spent the vast majority of it under the affluence of inkohol, but you'll have that.
Was in Cosmos on Wednesday night Phobos but was absolutely wrecked due to the complete lack of sleep the night before, and the night before that, and the night before that.

Thursday in castlebar was the best, they had sumo wrestling costumes, bungee running, a gladiators type thing and a bucking bull thing. I stayed on the bull for 18 seconds!!! was well chuffed.

Then, since TF was closed down for serving alomohol to underage peoples we all went to bajas for a mates 21st. There was a bob marley tribute band and it was wedged.

Yes,It's also apparently rag week in Dliadt and,my god,does it suck.Nothing has happened whatsoever.It is rumoured that students have been seen attending lectures to keep themselves amused in this colourless labrynth of misery...er...I mean this college
