    Does anyone know why?
I've already e-mailed then at southcoasttv@eircom.net and still have got no reply.

Its suprising they have no means of automatically switching back to the UHF signals from Wales if something goes wrong with the Sky feed.

at least something was on the screen. last Friday i was setting the video for So Graham Norton on Channel 4. i don't know who is broadcasting this but all that was on the screen was a notice telling us of a technical problem with Channel 4. all they had to do was change channel on the digibox and go back to Channel 4 again. Saturday evening arrived and it was fixed but this time without no sound. Sunday back to normal. anyone have any idea on who is broadcasting from the Comeragh Mountains

Funny story this... true too so gather round little kiddies and I shall tell you of my journeys.

Many many moons ago I sent an email to sctv enquiring it they had ever considered offering a public access channel as part of their service. I even suggested a few ways in which the scheme could make money for the company. Anyway to make a short story shorter I never got a reply from them (for reasons unknown) but read in the Echo (some months later) that SCTV are to launch a public access TV service on their digital platform.

Coincidence? I'd like to get the full details of the scheme from SCTV and compare notes with my 'sent items' box!

So... no, I never did recieve a reply from southcoast - I guess they just dont care that much about the people that are keeping them afloat.

Interesting...please let us know how you think such scheme would make money.

    Thanks

Its been a while since I saw Chorus in Navan, is it still on the go?

Public Access at its Worst!! LOL. (But is there any other kind???)

Let me see if i have this straight. SCTV are using a UK FTV card (illegally?) to retransmit channels? Seems gas to me ... This doesn't really constitute 'fortuitous reception' as mentioned in a C4 response featured in the Digital Satellite forum.

May I point out at this point that until 1999, any off-air retransmission of UK channels whatever their source was illegal, and that the whole SCTV operation was against the law? I doubt SCTV are that concerned about acting legally...
