    HEllo peeps

I am looking into getting Sky Sports Digital and not knowing were to look so first i went to NTL as i have Sky Sports Analog through them .They told me that they do offer Sky Digital but they have their own package. They said i should contact Sky directly .I looked up the Sky website and it had a number for the Rep Of Ireland enquiries on sky packages and offers. After waiting for 15mins to get through i finally got a lovlely lady who asked me do i want to order sky digital .I said to her politely "no im just looking for prices and a little bit of info on it" She then said to me you can get prices in any store that offers it .She asked me again would i like to order it and i said im only enquiring about getting it and if she could give me some information on the package's they are offering. She again said "you can get that info from any shop offering it " ? ? ?

Were is the best place to get Sky Digital in Ireland ?

AFAIK all shops that sell sky digital packages, do so with the same terms and prices ie. Sky determines what is on offer and how much. When I got mine all I had to pay was my subscription and £50 installation fee.

If you go to any major tv shop eg. dixons, DID, Power city etc. I reckon they should be able to give you the imfo you require

Normally in that situation they offer to send you a contract booklet with the information you were requesting, shes may have been a nice lady but certainly not helpful.

Tony browses this place and he offical a Sky installer so ask him, im sure his website has some info.

Those shops will give you the details alright, but I wouldn't order Sky through them, as traditionally, they've had a long waiting list.

Go to an independent TV dealer who will get themselves or a local installer to get Sky rigged up for you. It should be done quicker that way.
The benefit is, the price is the same, but its much quicker.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO NEAR EIRCOM! I stupidly allowed my sister to sort it out and she went to eircom. They promised installation within two weeks, before xmas. It took 8 long weeks of constant phone calls to eircom and sky to finally get anything done. Eircom blamed sky, and sky (rightly) blamed eircom. I would imagine that you are better off going to a smaller retailer or someone that deals specifically with satelite equipment.
