    http://scripts.ireland.com/newspaper/breaking/regularvote.cfm?pollid=673.

This is the good one but the rest is interesting. This one is just funny :D

I believe my position on abortion is well-known: I'm against it, full stop. However, I have my doubts about proceeding with the referendum at this time and with the wording proposed. To be quite frank, I'm rather confused by the whole thing, since those urging a NO vote include both representatives of the worst elements of Dublin 4 liberalism and the people who have led this country down the slippery slope of permissiveness, lasciviousness, eagerness for frivolous sex, glorification of condoms and panaceas and so on and so on, but also people like me who cannot accept even the idea of abortion under any circumstances. What got us into such a mess? The malaise is visible everywhere; why, yesterday I was informed that a shop here in this small, beautiful town is selling "crotchless panties" and even has them on display in its window!! Let the Micael's of Flippant Leitrim and the Dublin 4 godless like Lisa Nevin snigger, if they must, but garments like that have only one purpose! To encourage sex! The government and clergy of this country should never have given in to demands for birth control in the 60s and 70s. That is what brought us to where we are today. We would not need referendums if we had a proper God-fearing government to set outstanding examples of high morality for us and free us of such evils as sex education, filth on radio and TV, condoms everywhere, easy access to abortion and all the other things that will soon bring the wrath of God on us all.

Yeah Dara (Snowball is my flat mate), I'm going to have to insist you don't wear the crotchless panties around the flat. I can only assume this is why Mike moved out.

One salient point in there though.

I'll be voting no. I'm a mad raving loony liberal (who if he had his own way would legalise abortion under the same cirumstances as in the UK).

My GF will probably be voting no. She's more conservative and would keep abortion illegal here.

There's something really wrong with a referendum that'll get both of us voting on the same side

(had the same problem with the divorce referendum - my entire family, including my parents, voted yes, deciding they were becoming slightly more liberal as they got older. I voted "no" because I thought the long waiting period hot-wired into the constitution was wrong - hey, I did say I was a loony liberal)

Soz for the pulling up of old threads.. just saw this one :)

Victors right on this one I am afraid.. the sight of snowball in any underwear (let alone those horrible crotchless abominations he used to wear) is enough to make any-one (male or female) pale and queasy.. I just couldn't take it anymore..

She should have got someone to read the letter before she sent it in....

She is why the country turns so...so.....so slowly,
